What we install

Residential Spray Foam, Attic & Crawl Space Insulation, Retrofit Spray Foam, Commercial Spray Foam

Residential Spray Foam

Open-cell and closed-cell spray foam for new and existing homes, applied to roof decks, exterior walls, rim joists and floors so the house is insulated and air-sealed in one step.

  • Open-cell spray foam for roof decks and walls
  • Closed-cell spray foam where moisture or strength matters
  • Unvented (conditioned) attic conversions
  • Rim joist, band board and bonus-room sealing

Attic & Crawl Space Insulation

Insulation and air sealing for the two places Georgia homes lose the most comfort: the attic above and the crawl space below, with spray foam, blown-in insulation or both.

  • Roof-deck spray foam for unvented attics
  • Blown-in top-ups on the attic floor
  • Removal of old or damaged insulation
  • Crawl space wall and floor insulation

Retrofit Spray Foam

Spray foam upgrades for homes and buildings that are already finished: we remove what is not working, seal the leaks and add foam where it can be reached without tearing the house apart.

  • Removal of old, wet or contaminated insulation
  • Roof-deck spray foam in existing attics
  • Rim joist and crawl space retrofits
  • Bonus room, knee wall and garage ceiling upgrades

Commercial Spray Foam

Spray foam for metal buildings, shops, barns, warehouses and public buildings, from closed-cell foam on steel panels to open-cell foam on wood-framed commercial roofs.

  • Metal building walls and roofs
  • Shops, garages and pole barns
  • Agricultural and poultry buildings
  • Warehouses, offices and fire stations

Service area questions

Which areas does NJ Spray Foam LLC serve?

We are based in Hull, GA and serve four counties: Gwinnett County, Coweta County, Dawson County and Bryan County. Each area has its own page with all four services: residential, attic and crawl space, retrofit and commercial spray foam.

Do insulation rules change from one county to another in Georgia?

The minimums are statewide, but the climate zone changes. Madison, Gwinnett and Coweta counties are IECC climate zone 3A, Dawson County is 4A and Bryan County is 2A. Under Georgia's 2020 amendments, ceilings (R-38) and walls (R-13) are the same in all three zones, but crawl space walls and some unvented-attic options are not.

What R-value does Georgia require in an attic?

Georgia's energy code (2015 IECC with Georgia amendments) requires R-38 on the attic floor; R-30 counts as R-38 when it keeps its full depth over the wall top plates (Section R402.2.1). When the roof deck is insulated with spray foam instead, the Georgia trade-off path allows R-20 of air-impermeable insulation at the deck.

Can I get a rebate for insulation in Georgia?

Georgia Power customers can receive up to $300 for upgrading attic insulation from R-38 or less to R-49 through the Home Energy Improvement Program, and bundles with air sealing reach up to $1,850 with an affiliated installer. Some EMCs, such as Jackson EMC, run their own insulation rebates. Check eligibility with your utility before work starts.
